Glossary of Terms

Ace-deuce: A single roll bet that wins if the shooter rolls 3.
Any seven: A single roll bet that wins if the shooter rolls 7. This bet is also called Big Red, since the 7 is shown large and in red on the table layout.
Box cars: A single roll bet that wins if the shooter rolls 12.
Come bet: This is the same as the pass line bet but placed after the come-out roll.
Come-out roll: The first roll of each round.
Craps: A single roll bet that wins if the shooter rolls 2, 3 or 12. This bet has given the game its name.
Don’t come: This is exactly the opposite of the come bet, or the same as the Don’t pass bet placed after the come-out roll.
Don’t pass: This is exactly the opposite of the Pass Line bet.
Easy way: A multi roll bet which wins if the total of 4, 6 , 8 or 10 (number to be specified) is rolled without using doubles before a 7 or the specified number using doubles is rolled.
Fire Bet: A special multi roll bet that the shooter will have a hot streak and set a specified number of points of different values.
Hard way: A multi roll bet which wins if the total of 4, 6 , 8 or 10 (number to be specified) is rolled using doubles before a 7 or the specified number without doubles is rolled.
Hi-lo: A single roll bet that wins if the shooter rolls 2 or 12.
Multi roll bets: Bets that are not settled on the come-out roll and need a number of subsequent rolls to determine the outcome.
Pass line: One of the most common multi-roll bets in craps. The bet wins if the come-out roll is a 7 or 11 and loses if the come-out roll is 2, 3 or 12. If a point is established on the come-out roll the bet wins if point is rolled again before rolling a 7.
Point: The total rolled in a come-out roll provided it is not 2, 3, 7, 11 or 12.
Shooter: The player whose turn it is to roll the dice.
Single roll bets: The outcomes of the single roll bets are decided in the roll in which the bet is placed.
Snake eyes: A single roll bet that wins if the shooter rolls 2.
A single roll bet that wins if the shooter rolls 11.
